DOUBLE LAKE TX
E una zona di campeggio situata nella National Forest del Texas a circa un'ora e mezza di macchina a nord di Houston.
Giornata bella con una temperatura ideale per fare un bel giro, (adesso la mattina e fresco e poi nelle ore più calde il sole scotta ancora).
Come sempre per raggiungere questi posti oltre alla solita autostrada si fanno tratti di strade secondare dove ogni tanto si vede qualche Ranck....
Come tutti i parchi per entrare si paga una tassa e qui e di $ 6.00 per macchina fino a 4 persone e poi aumenta di un dollaro, si compila una piccola busta con targa auto e da dove si arriva, si infilano i soldi e so chiude la busta, si stacca un foglietto da lasciare in macchina,,,,, e poi la busta con i sodi non viene consegnata a nessuno ma messa dentro a una cassetta di metallo..
IL percorso si snoda dentro la foresta e molto scorrevole e pieno di curve e cotrocurve con tratti in pendenza ( leggera).
Devo dire che anche se il parcheggio era quasi pieno di auto abbiamo incrociato una decina di biker, come sempre prima si urla BIKERRRR e poi ci si avvisa di quanti bikers ci sono dopo di te....io dicevo ONE MORE.....
Finalmente il terreno e duro e solo raramente si trovano delle piccole zone sabbiose.
Tutti i tratti con le varie diramazioni segnalate in modo perfetto e no dico altro
Abbiamo fatto il big route ( Il grande giro) di circa 24km, in questo percorso si svolge una gara dove di solito partecipano tutte le associazioni di MTB di Houston...... naturalmente non aspetto altro ...

Finally we get to go to DOUBLE LAKE.
And a camping area located in the National Forest of Texas about an hour and a half drive north of Houston.
Beautiful day with a temperature ideal for a nice ride, (now in the morning and then cool in the hottest hours the sun is still).
As always to reach these places in addition to the usual motorway are stretches of roads seconding where sometimes you see some Ranck ....

THE path leads into the forest and very smooth and full of curves and inclines with cotrocurve (light).
I must say that even though the parking lot was almost full of cars we passed a dozen bikers, as always before it screams BIKERRRR and then warns you of how many bikers there are after you .... I said ONE MORE .... .
Finally the ground and hard and only rarely are small sandy areas.
All sections with the various branches reported so perfect and I say no more
We made the big route (Grand Tour) about 24km, in this itinerary is in a race where usually all participating associations MTB Houston ...... of course not expect more ...

USCITA 7 settembre presso RANCK BLUFF CREEK
Oggi qui e festa e il LABOR DAY ( festa dei lavoratori).... ma, rimangono chiusi solo uffici e scuole per il resto tutto aperto...
Ho deciso di andara a provare i trail presso questo ranch che si trova a circa un'ora e mezza di macchina verso Austin.
La giornata non si presenta bene e nuvoloso ma più ci avviciniamo alla meta il tempo migliora.
Dopo tanta strada a tratti con il nulla e ha tratti dove sembrava fatta con una stecca da quanto era dritta... imbocchiamo una stradina secondaria ... ed troviamo l'ingresso a questo Ranch.
Il RACH non è altro che due edifici di cui uno una stalla per i cavalli e l'abitazione dove bisogna registrarsi, pagare 10 dollari e lasciare tutti i dati in caso di necessità.
Il ranch apre alle mattina e chiude al tramonto e tu poi stare tutto il giorno e girare, girare, girare..
Iniziamo la nostra pedalata sotto a un solo cocente con un'elevata temperatura.
36 gradi.............
La prima parte del trails e posta sul bosco con un continuo cambio di direzione e anche con leggeri saliscendi, la seconda parte e su prato per arrivare ad una parte tecnica con una discesa da prima cementata e poi su terreno con dei pezzi tecnici, L'ultima parte e fatta da una salita con tratti tecnici e alcuni ponticelli.
Devo dire bel percorso e ben segnalato, con tratti misti e tratti molto scorrevoli.

I decided to try the trail andara at this ranch that is located about an hour and a half drive to Austin.
The day does not show up well and cloudy but the closer we get to the goal the weather improves.

The RACH is no more than two buildings, one of which a stable for the horses and the house where you have to register, pay $ 10 and leave all data in case of need.
The ranch opens at morning and closes at sunset and then you sit all day and turn, turn, turn ..
We start our ride under blue skies with a high temperature.
The first part of trails and mail on the forest with a continuous change of direction and even with slight ups and downs, the second part of the grass and to achieve a technical part with a descent from the first cemented and then on the ground with the technical parts, L ' last part and made from a climb with some technical sections and bridges.
I have to say nice and well marked path, with mixed sections and features very smooth.
